How reliable are the tutors from Barrett & Clarke Prep?
Our tutors are all members of the Ivy League and top 10 schools who have scored 99th percentile scores on the SAT, ACT, or both. Every tutor on the roster has a former background in tutoring/teaching and a strong passion to mentor their students.
On what platforms are your services held on?
We currently deliver our services on zoom, using professional accounts that have additional features to provide the best learning experience possible.
Are there any negotiations for prices?
No. Barrett Academies already offers an array of discounts and one of the lowest hourly rates in the industry.
If I can only attend a certain portion of a program, will my tuition be adjusted?
Answers to this question will be made on a case-by-case basis. Please contact one of the directors if this applies to you.
Are make-up classes available?
We allow up to 5 make-up sessions per program. However, new sessions will not be created for make-up sessions. That means students must attend an already-existing session. For example, if a student misses a week worth of class, they are able to attend two sessions per day the following week (i.e. the morning and the evening class sessions). If this arrangement is needed, contact one of the directors.
Can I change tutors if my student does not like his/her tutor?
Yes. However, we will need a valid reasoning as to why a student wants to change their tutor. Switching tutors will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
What materials are used in the program?
All SAT/ACT content from our classes are official materials that were once given to students as past exams. This means that your child will see the exact same concepts and materials when they officially take their SAT/ACT exam.
How often will parents hear back from the program about updates on progress?
Parents and students will receive daily emails and constant communication from the program and its tutors. We want to ensure that parents are on the same page as everything that their child is learning in the program.
Where can we leave feedback for our tutors and the program?
Every week, we will send out forms for both students and parents regarding their tutors and the program in general. This feedback will be redirected to the tutors anonymously and they will adjust to the feedback.
How flexible are class times?
Very flexible. We offer classes in the morning (9AM-12PM), afternoon (12:30PM - 4:30PM), and in the evening (7:00PM-10:00PM). All times are displayed in Eastern Standard Time.
What languages are supported in your customer service?
English and Mandarin, Chinese.
