Fariha is an undergraduate student at Princeton University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a certificate in Finance, and Architecture & Engineering. Fariha has a wide variety of academic interests, and wants to spend her time at Princeton exploring them!
At Princeton, Fariha is involved with a variety of high-achieving student organizations such as Scholars of Finance, Entrepreneurship Club, and Women in Economics and Policy. With these organizations, she hopes that she can explore her personal interests and capitalize on her skillset. In addition to academic societies, Fariha is an activist and passionate about social causes relating to racism, environmentalism, and gender. She is also a part of Princeton’s Conservation Society and a proud member of Princeton’s Advocacy and Activism Student Board. Being a key member of each of these organizations, Fariha hopes to bring about meaningful change not only within her school, but to the world around her.
Fariha is very passionate about learning and her education, and even more so about sharing her ideas and interests with others. She believes that sharing knowledge is the most important a person can do, and because of this, she has a lot of formal and informal experience with teaching and tutoring. She first began tutoring in high school with the Caribbean American Society of New York where she helped students from underrepresented communities prepare for the Specialized High School exam. At Princeton, she continued tutoring with Khan’s Tutorial as an SAT tutor where she guided multiple students to achieve a 1500+ on their exams. Fariha is very proud of her student’s past achievements, and she hopes to mentor her new students to reach their maximum potentials.
