Moe Zhang

Moe Zhang is an undergraduate student at Brown University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in physics. Her dream profession is to become a professor, while she shares with the next generation the exhilarating amount of joy that learning has brought her.

At Brown, she is a part of the Brown Science Prep Club: every Saturday, she teaches two-hour interactive science lessons such as “The Psychology of Consumerism” and “Plants in Space” to Rhode Island High School students.  She strives to make difficult science concepts not only more approachable, but also more enjoyable. Through this, she hopes to inspire students to pursue science beyond the high school level. In her free time, she loves to run with the Brown Running Club.

In high school, Moe was a Teacher’s Assistant for her school’s AP Physics classes. During this time, she taught lessons to full classes on topics such as momentum. Moreover, she worked with students one-on-one to help them improve individual skills in science, communication, and critical thinking. To deepen their interest in the content, she often likes to add a modern spin to problems. She firmly believes that concepts are more effectively conveyed when the process is enjoyable and engaging. In addition, Moe has privately tutored math and physics for over three years. At Barrett Academies, Moe is eager to continue inspiring high school students through her extensive and memorable teaching skills.
